    Calling All Redundant Rugby Boots

    Has your owner left you in a dark cupboard or out in the cold unloved and in need of a good run out?  Well let your owners know there is a place for you and that place is Cheshunt Rugby Club.  If you would like your boots to reach their retirement age then please donate them to the kit shop.  Here they will be able to find a good home and once again enjoy wallowing in the mud.

    If you wish to donate your boots then please bring them to the kit shop, making sure they are looking their best.  Your boots will then be priced according to condition and all money made will go back into improving the club.

    Senior Registration Forms

    Under the new league rules, all players are to be re-registered and a copy held by the club (should the opposition require evidence of eligibility). Please could all senior players complete the form and hand to Mike McKay or Steve Waller ASAP

    Message from the Chairman.

    On club registration day, 12th September, there are a number of sponsored runs. The seniors are expected to take part in the longer one (5 miles) and we will share any monies raised with our nominated charity, the Herts Harriers. As we are also raising money for the Harriers, it is an excellent opportunity to ask people from outside the club for donations. The bar will be open and hopefully a BBQ or similar will be available.

    18th September – CHESHUNT RUGBY CLUB DISCO WITH CRAZY CHRIS.

    Kick start the season off with a club disco after the first set of home games. Tickets on sale £7.50.  Please spread the word, friends and family always welcome.  The event page is here.

    The Moody Cows (Sarah the Physio’s team) are playing against WOP, the Dutch National Side, on Friday night at the club under the floodlights.  Kick off is at 7:30pm, all support welcome and the bar will be open.

    It is VERY important that you use the links at the bottom of this email and subscribe to the Team News emails if you are a player.  After this weekend you will NOT receive emails about training unless you are on the correct list, you’ll just get news and reults.

    Squads for Hackney on Saturday, 1pm prompt Meet for 3pm kick off.  There is a team run through tomorrow at training, make sure you attend.

    Registration Day 12th September 2010

    There is a club Registration Day on Sunday 12th September where registrations and subs for the coming season will be taken.

    There will also be a Charity Fun Run on the day in support of  Herts Harriers Disabled Cricket Club.  All proceeds will be divided between the cricket club and Cheshunt Rugby Club.

    Herts Harriers’ intention is to provide opportunities forpeople with varying disabilities of all ages, both male and female, to participate in the game of cricket.  The club seeks to accomodate all disabilites and is open to adults and children.

    Run Distances will be 1, 2, 3 and 5 miles and the sponsorship form can be downloaded from the link below

    Pre-season Friendly, Bury St Edmunds, 7th August

    Gentlemen

    This is a reminder, a week on saturday away.

    We were going to be meeting at the club Saturday morning (time to be confirmed) then travelling up to Bury St Edmunds for a Club Trial game.

    Lets go up there with a professional frame of mind looking to gain real benefit from the fixture. There will be fun after but were going up there to play rugby in the first instance.

    Were advertised as camping chums on their site. Lets teach them a lesson lads, we can actually play too and i want to see you perform here. A tough encounter no doubt but, how can i say, lets have it!
