James Batten - 2nd XV Captain
“I’ve been a member of Cheshunt RFC since the age of 5 and more than likely injured for at least 50% of my time at club, a percentage that will no doubt carry on rising. This year I hope to carry on the excellent work of James Linsell and his large headed assistant Gareth Lewis in creating a side that perfectly mixes youth with experience and carries on the winning mentality that was a key part of the 2nd XV. Last season finished on a real high for the 2nd XV and I intend to make sure that high lasts throughout the forthcoming season. I’m looking forward to helping introduce a new batch of youngsters to senior rugby…. and touch cup.”
