Finnley wins this month’s U13's Player of the Month award for his relentless defensive displays and his athletic high-tempo attacking play.

Finnley punches well above his weight in the tackle, always hitting hard and putting in dominant tackles, stopping the opposition on the gainline. When he’s not tackling, he’s sure to be at the bottom of a ruck helping the team force another turnover.

His high work-rate in defence also carries through into attack, and his pace enables him to burst through the first-up tackler and make space for his teammates. This combination of dogged defence and alert attacking mean Finnley is December’s stand-out player.
