Under 8's close their season at Allianz Park

Cheshunt Under 8's closed their season with a visit to Allianz Park last Sunday (12 May) with a joint training session with Saracens before the Premiership Semifinal.

There is a growing partnership with Sarries & Cheshunt, with plans for a Barbarians team in one of the early season festivals in September. Player development through joint coaching sessions & practice games is starting to show huge improvements in both sides.

During the warm up, we were joined by none other than Saracens Winger, James Short, who played a dual role for both sides in the practice matches. Other famous faces looking at our under 8's being put through their paces included, England Fullback, Alex Goode, Springbok Second Row, Alistair Hargreaves and former England stars Austin Healey & Ben Kay.

Plans are already being made for introductory sessions during July & August, in and around Cheshunt, in preparation for next season & player recruitment.

Despite a loss for the Senior side, Cheshunt thoroughly enjoyed their day & would like to thank all the staff at Allianz Park and in particular, Saracens Minis Coach, Dave Roberts, who kindly extended us the invitation.
