The end of a winning streak :-(

Arctic conditions greeted the teams for their county challenge on Sunday morning, and unfortunately despite some moments of excellent play, Cheshunt Under 10s were beaten on the day.

Although the Under 10s had hoped to maintain their winning streak, having comfortably won the Barnet festival at the beginning of the season without conceding a single try, they were not on the ball enough and fell at each hurdle, losing each of their matches to Harpenden As, Camelot As and Fullerians As.

Credit must be given to the lads who had over an hour between each game and at no point on the field did their heads drop..... Apart from when Matt Lawton dropped his head into the ground to power through the oppositions back row to score a try!

Time to put some hours into the training now boys and strive for better at the Holt Festival in 3 ½ weeks’ time!

Huge thanks go out to all those mums who turned up to spend their Mother’s day in a cold and blustery field!! The boys certainly appreciated your shouts of encouragement and support.
